Hamilton-Wentworth FAST Course

01/06/2017 - 8:00pm - 01/08/2017 - 12:00pm

This is a course designed for the youth leaders in the Scout Troop. Leadership is a vital part of the Scouting program. Scouts in positions of leadership run their patrols and help you run your Troop.

By accepting positions of responsibility, they are preparing themselves to be leaders throughout
their lives. Scouting recognizes that Scouters have the responsibility of training their own patrol leaders.
The purpose of the F.A.S.T. Weekend is not to assume that role, but to support it. The objectives of the
course are:
to give participants the confidence and knowledge to perform youth leadership roles
to introduce Scouts and Scouters to the concept of the Troop Leadership Team and how it
operates within the Troop
 to have fun

Scouts Canada, the country’s leading youth organization, offers challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in thousands of individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada.
