Battlefields Council – Incoming Council Commissioner

As part of our succession planning, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Greg White as the Incoming Council Commissioner for Battlefields Council. Greg will take on the Council Commissioner role starting on September 1, 2017.

Having grown up in a Scouting family, Greg started as a Beaver Scout as soon as he was old enough to join. Over the years, he had the opportunity to participate in several adventures from the Beaver Sleepover at SkyDome to becoming a Team Lead for the Great Lakes Jamboree Rappelling Tower. He earned the Chief Scout’s Award and the Queen's Venturer Award along the way. He served as the Area Youth Commissioner for Merritt Trail Area, as a Deputy Council Commissioner responsible for Program and Special Events, and as the Canadian Path Ambassador in Battlefields Council. In the past, he worked with the Troop section and he is currently a member of 20th Welland as a Company Scouter.

Professionally, Greg is an Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Technician. He completed his training at Mohawk College and he routinely upgrades his skills to stay current in the ever changing industry. His top priority is to perform quality work and to provide the best customer service.

Greg will be replacing Theresa Allen-Young who will be joining the National Volunteer Services Team to help with the creation of the Commissioner Development Program. Please join us in thanking Theresa for her continued service to Scouting and in welcoming Greg as a member of the National Service Team (NST). He can be reached at
