Friends in Scouting, I am writing to advise you of changes that are being made to Carmichael house and St. Catharines Scout Shop. As many of you may be aware, Carmichael House and the Scout Shop has been underutilized for a number of years now.  The cost maintaining the building has placed a significant financial burden on Battlefields Council that is no longer sustainable.  Earlier this year, the Council Leadership Team determined that it was in the best interest of the Council and its members to sell the property, and the sale is now complete. Battlefields Council is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Scouter to take lead in an exciting project that is of high importance to our groups. The ideal candidate will be goal oriented and will possess strong communication and marketing skills. They must be able to support and motivate those who they work with. Strong computer skills are also an asset. Travel across the Council is a necessity in this role. More »

Two training dates are now available at Camp Impeesa. 827559 Township Road 8 Blandford-Blenheim, Ontario N0J 1G0 Sunday April 2nd   8 am – 12 pm OR Monday May 1st – 6:30 pm This training provides Scouters with the skills needed to use the rope course safely, so all youth have a positive experience. This is a hands-on course, so Scouters should come prepared to try it out, if possible.  Comfortable clothing is recommended. More »
Join us April 1st, for 2 outdoor skill sessions at the HICOP Centre, Camp Nemo LEAVE NO TRACE 10 am – 12 pm Learn to apply the 7 principles of the Leave No Trace ethics.  Time will be spent both inside and out.1 COMPASS SKILLS 1 pm – 3 pm Learn the basics needed to support your youth learning compass skills within the OAS, in the Canadian Path.  Plan to be outside for most of this program.  Bring along a compass, if possible.
